Joanne’s Story: I Never Knew I Would be a Statistic

My name is Joanne. For five years I have been victim of domestic violence. He tried many times to choke me. He said hurtful things like after him noone would ever want to be with me. But for five years I kept convincing myself he would get better but he never did. When finally we separated last year I realized that was the best thing that could ever happened to me. Now, my son and I are finally free.

Now, I’m able to talk about what happened to me. And lately, I decided to do something to help women who like me were abused by writing my story and created an online page. Below are the links for both my page and where to get my book:
