Anonymous Story: A Father’s Story

I am probably the least likely individual to access this platform. However there is presently a
rage growing inside of me that at some point may not be able to be contained . I am a 58
year old father of 3 daughters and 5 granddaughters. I have recently found out that 2 of my
daughters were sexually abused as children. The perpetrators (boys) were extended family
members also children at the time but older than my daughters.
One of my girls is not aware that I know but both have expressed concerns regarding
what “Daddy” might do. She feels that the abuse has had a significant negative affect on her life.
I feel that I have failed my daughters as a father by not protecting them. I feel that both
individuals need to somehow be held accountable for what they have done.
