Anonymous Story: 65: RUN PTSD

Anonymous Story: 65: RUN PTSD

She’s been running all her life
Thought she had the wanderlust
Wondered had it been a knife
Could she have salvaged any trust
The two, they held her with a gun
Pressed against her maiden skin
Afterwards she had to run
And didn’t know her flesh was thin
Acted through the many years
Never leaving this behind
Held her heart and held her tears
Until she lost her very mind
Still she ran and still she lived
Her body screaming out the pain
Now she can no longer give
Wonders if she’ll smile again
Her family turned
Her tribe is lost
Fear like this, it has a cost
On crumbling ground
She runs alone
Still searching for her loving home
